Over the last 12 months Essemtec AG has been very successful in penetrating large EMS and automotive companies in Europe. For example, companies such as Bosch or Continental, from the automotive sector, both invested in Essemtec systems. A unique new customer for Essemtec is Videoton; the number two European based EMS company and 30th worldwide.
Eighty year old Videoton is the largest Hungarian industrial group in local private ownership that offers manufacturing and manufacturing related services to industrial companies. The Székesfehérvár-based company, with an annual turnover of more than 500 million Euros, has nine locations in Hungary and one in Bulgaria (Stara Zagora). Further 19 subsidiaries of Videoton provides complete solutions for business partners in the automotive industry, household appliances and so-called ‘industrial’ applications.
One of the largest customer sectors for Videoton is automotive. In 2018 they won a project from one of the largest automotive parts suppliers in the world; the production requirements included a demand for high speed glue jetting. Following an intense evaluation process, Videoton choose the Essemtec Spider to satisfy the high quality and high-speed demand of their customer. The system is fully integrated in a high-speed line and is in full three shift production.
Mr. Gabor Klima, Director Sales, Engineering, Purchasing Videoton Automotive Electronics Ltd. explains: After we decided on the Essemtec product we needed the systems very quickly to satisfy our customers’ demands. Essemtec delivered on the spot, and since then we have been extremely satisfied with the ease of use, the quality and stability of our dispense process, as well as the speed we achieve. So far, our experience with both Essemtec and their Hungarian distributor, ATT, has been most pleasant.
